HOW IT WORKS
DRY-CAST RELEASE is a petroleum-based, combination chemically active and physical barrier type form release agent. DRY-CAST RELEASE positively prevents form binding and the accumulation of concrete buildup on form surfaces. It chemically reacts with the alkalies in concrete to form a slippery soap fi lm, which prevents buildup on form surfaces. It allows entrapped air to easily migrate along form surface during vibration, producing crisp, uniformly colored and voidfree concrete.
APPLICATIONS
Use on dry-cast pipe head rings, spindles and pallet rings.
Ideal for use in dip tank applications.
Provides exceptional results in steam-cured precast concrete applications.
Use on overlaid plywood, steel and aluminum paver pallets.
Use on dry-cast block conveying systems and pallets.
ADVANTAGES
- Allows for easy removal of pallet and header ring, minimizing damage and related patching and repair.
- Crisp release greatly minimizes chipping on spigot (tongue) ends at gasket recess.
- Minimizes form cleaning and maintenance costs – pallets and headers become self-cleaning with continued use.
- Non-staining.
- Does not impair the natural bonding characteristics of lubricating agents used on the bell end.
- Economically priced.
- Green Engineered™ – better for health and the environment.
- Sprayable down to 0° F (-18° C) liquid temperature.
- Dry-Cast Release complies with the US EPA OPPTS 835.31101 test protocol for inherent biodegradability.
PRECAUTIONS
- Specifi cally designed for use in dry-cast concrete applications. When considering for use in a wet-cast application, a test mock-up is recommended prior to use to ensure satisfactory performance.
- Verify that product is within the “use-by date” stated on product packaging. The use of expired product may result in poor product performance or failure.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
- Request current product literature, labels and safety data sheets from manufacturer and read thoroughly before product use.
- Site environmental conditions, substrate conditions and concrete mix design have a major eff ect on product selection, application methods, procedures and rates, appearance and performance. Product literature provides general information applicable to some conditions. However, an adequate production test application by the purchaser or installer in advance of field scale use is mandatory (irrespective of any other verbal or written representations) to verify that product and quantities purchased can be satisfactorily applied and will achieve desired appearance and performance under intended use conditions.
- Apply DRY-CAST RELEASE with a low-pressure sprayer, brush or by dipping.
