The HR001GM101 Rotary Hammer Drill has a Brushless DC motor with high power to weight and size ratio and generates less heat buildup and is ideal for prolonged use in manufacturing / production applications. The AWS (Auto-Start Wireless System) uses Bluetooth® technology to communicate between tool and vacuum and enable wireless control when used with Makita AWS cordless tools.
This tool has anti-vibration, extreme protection and active feedback sensing technologies. Anti-vibration technology (AVTTM) actively counteracts vibration of tool for greatly reduced transmission to operator, the eXtreme Protection Technology (XPT) offers maximum protection against dust, debris and liquids for optimal performance in extreme conditions while the Active Feedback sensing Technology (AFT) automatically shuts down the tool if there is a sudden drop in rotation speed (e.g. kick-back)
The HR001GM101 Rotary Hammer Drill can operate in 2 modes: Rotation + Hammer / Hammer Only.
It also has great safety features such as a trigger-lock button which prevents accidental start-up for increased safety, a torque limiter that stops bit rotation if bit jams for increased operator safety and tool protection, a soft no-load motor suppression which will limit vibration and bit deflection when idling, a variable speed dial and trigger that allows the operator to adjust speed based on materials or application, a one-touch SDS-MAX sliding chuck for easy bit installation and removal, a LED job light with after-glow feature for illuminating the work area and an ergonomic soft rubber grip design for vibration absorption and comfortable operation.
